What's New

ACT is pleased to announce a new online ordering process for EXPLORE. Our goal is to ensure you have testing materials and reports when you want them.

You tell us when you need materials.

Instead of providing all your test dates, simply tell us when you need the materials, and we'll deliver them by that time. We recommend you select a date at least 14 business days before your test date to allow time for materials check-in, staff training, and distribution. ACT can accept orders as late as 12 business days before you need materials.

We will process student and school reports upon receipt.

ACT will process student answer folders as soon as we receive them, and return school and student reports in approximately 14 business days (previously, we held answer folders to process as a group in aggregate reporting). As a result, District Norms will appear only on the district data CD, not on Student Score Reports.

Note: We strongly recommend that schools return all answer folders together in a single shipment.

You tell us when to generate your district reports.

If you're ordering for a district, you will provide an "Answer Document Return Deadline." This date tells ACT when we can begin aggregating the school data and producing district reports; you can expect to receive those reports approximately 14 business days later.

Note: We won't generate district reports before this date, and answer folders returned after this date will not be included in the district reports.

You tell us which schools to include in your district reports.

If you're ordering for a district, you will need to identify the schools to be included in your district reports. Because those reports will include only those schools who return their answer folders by the "Answer Document Return Deadline," it's very important to meet that date. ACT will send you two email reminders about your district reports:

  • 30 days before the "Answer Document Return Deadline," ACT will send a confirmation email listing the participating schools. At that time you can change the list of schools to be reported or adjust the "Answer Document Return Deadline." You may call Customer Services at 800/553-6244 to make adjustments if necessary.
  • 7 days before the "Answer Document Return Deadline," you will receive an email status update listing which schools' test materials have arrived at ACT, and a reminder of the date when reports will be generated. This will be your last reminder to have your school(s) return materials to ACT before district aggregate reports are run.

We will bill you only for the tests you use.

ACT will bill you for the number of answer folders scored; an invoice will be sent at the time we generate your reports. If you order accommodated test materials, you will receive a separate invoice for those at the time of shipment. (Please note that only the Braille test book can be returned for a refund.)
