My name is Evette, and I am an Employment Coordinator for the Human Resources Employment unit under the Office of the CEO. I have been employed with ACT since May 2008.

My husband and I are both Iowa natives, born and raised in Waterloo, Iowa, located approximately 70 miles northwest of Iowa City. My undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Northern Iowa, where I received my B.A. in Psychology. Shortly thereafter, I completed the coursework for my Master's degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

As an Employment Coordinator, I coordinate ACT's processes to recruit, screen, and retain employees. I collaborate with hiring managers, vice presidents, and directors to target and recruit qualified candidates at all levels, from entry level to senior management. I also represent ACT at career fairs, college fairs, and diversity conferences. However, each day varies, because my priority is to address the current needs of managers and employees.

The awesome thing about working for ACT is that from day one I've felt like a valued employee. The organizational climate is very warm and welcoming, making ACT an easy place to work. Also, work-life balance is something ACT not only supports but also demonstrates. These are the things that set ACT apart from other employers, and things that I greatly appreciate.

In my free time, I enjoy speaking, writing, and mentoring. I firmly believe that in order to change the world we must positively impact those around us, and to support this, I currently mentor at-risk youth to help them overcome adversity and to positively influence their development as young people, students, and soon-to-be professionals.
