Each year, institutions of higher education across the United States share information about themselves with millions of prospective students by completing the ACT Institutional Data Questionnaire (IDQ).
The information these institutions provide is used for:
- ACT High School, College, and Student Reportsto describe an institution to students who take the ACT and who list the institution as a score recipient. To see how IDQ data are used on the ACT Student Report, download the ACT IDQ brochure (PDF; 4 pages, 162KB).
- DISCOVERa comprehensive computer-based career planning system that includes extensive information about colleges and universities
The IDQ is submitted online each year in January/February. The IDQ database contains information for more than 3,500 two-year and four-year colleges and universities.
