Four Teachers to Help Develop ACT Assessment

IOWA CITY, Iowa—Four teachers were selected to spend part of their summer helping to develop the ACT Assessment, the college admissions test, or evaluating the instructional support materials for the test.

The teachers will participate in the ACT Visiting Teacher Program. The program brings teachers from across the United States to ACT's headquarters in Iowa City to work with staff involved with creating the ACT Assessment and its support materials.

The program, in its eighth year, will take place June 16 to July 25, 2003.

Fifty-nine teachers (a record number) from 19 states applied to take part in this year's program.
