Why Should Your School Be an ACT Test Center?

Your school can be a test center for students taking the ACT® test.

By taking the test at their high school or in the area, students will:

  • Be able to take the ACT close to home.
  • Be more comfortable taking the ACT.
  • Take the college entrance examination accepted by all 4-year colleges and universities.

What's involved with your school being a test center?

  • A staff member to serve as the Test Supervisor (paid by ACT)
  • Other school staff willing to serve as room supervisors and proctors (paid by ACT)
  • Space for testing on national test dates
  • Quiet areas—free from distractions and other events
  • Classrooms preferred, with full-sized desks
  • Plenty of space between examinees for security purposes
  • A secure location to store test materials

  • There are almost 7,000 ACT test centers in operation around the world.
  • Over 80% of all ACT test centers are operated in local high schools.
  • ACT provides reasonable reimbursement to schools for test-related expenses (room rent, custodial services, security, etc.).
