Entering Student Descriptive Report

The Entering Student Descriptive Report provides extensive summary information on ASSET and COMPASS/ESL-tested students for institutions using these instruments. Reports can be created for each of five enrollment terms during the year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer1, Summer2). This descriptive report details students' background characteristics, educational plans and academic needs, as well as their test scores (means, standard deviations, frequency distributions).

Here are some typical questions that the Entering Student Descriptive Report can help answer:

• What are the most important needs of my first time enrolling students?
• What proportion of entering students plan to complete a four-year or more college degree program?
• What academic backgrounds do my ASSET and COMPASS/ESL-tested entering students have?
• How do the tested abilities of my ASSET and COMPASS/ESL freshmen compare to those of ASSET-tested students in the state or nationwide?
