ACT will not convene the Workforce 2013 conference slated for April 2013 in Chicago.
For the past 15 years, ACT has gathered employers, workforce and economic developers, educators, and thought leaders from across the country at an annual conference to address skills challenges and share innovative solutions. We’re proud that our conference has a reputation for bringing experts together to help strengthen our nation’s workforce and build America’s competitiveness in a global economy. At the same time, we’re aware that ACT’s new, broader strategic direction and vision to help individuals achieve success along the entire continuum from kindergarten through career requires engaging a broader audience.
Accordingly, we have decided not to host a workforce conference in 2013 as we sharpen our focus on collaborative initiatives aligned with our education and workplace goals. In the coming year, you can expect to see more activities and programs that support the broader strategic direction adopted by ACT, which is committed to helping people achieve lifelong success through a continuum of products and solutions.
