Improving School Climate
Improving School Climate by Revisiting Student Discipline
One way is by revisiting student discipline. Remember: You are teaching a student something every time they’re disciplined—for better or worse. We need to restore discipline as instruction, first and foremost.
- Recognize discipline as instruction.
- Explore, adapt, and implement restorative justice procedures.
- Collect and use data about discipline inequities.
