Predictive Validity of HSGPA and ACT Composite Score on Cumulative First-Year Hours Earned Between 2018 and 2022

This paper documents a decline in predictions of first-year college credit ours earned based on HSGPA. Combining HSGPA with ACT scores mitigated the decline in HSGPA’s predictive validity.
