In this program, you will develop the technical knowledge and skills to plan, manufacture, assemble, test, and repair various types of tools and machinery that may form, shape, mold, press, and fuse materials into new products. You will learn about the techniques of machine and product development. You will also learn how to read blueprints and about the function and operation of various types of machinery. You will study applied mathematics and learn about production processes and applications for various materials.
Degrees
- Graduates of this program can work as a machine operator, tool maker apprentice, sheet metal worker, welder or CNC technician in large manufacturing settings, job shops, tool and die shops, pattern shops, and CNC machining shops.
