CLEANING SERVICE OPERATORS provide business or home cleaning services to customers for a fee. They are responsible for the day-to-day operation of franchised or independent cleaning service businesses. Cleaning service operators work out contracts with customers to clean and maintain premises of commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings, office buildings, hotels, apartment houses, retirement and nursing homes, hospitals, schools, and private homes. Cleaning service operators hire workers, plan work tasks, and keep financial records.

Entry Requirements
Most CLEANING SERVICE OPERATORS usually work in other jobs before becoming a cleaning service operator or franchisee. A college degree or courses in business management is recommended. Sales and marketing experience is an asset. Most states require cleaning service businesses to be licensed.
