STATISTICAL CLERKS compile and compute data according to statistical formulas for use in statistical studies. They compile statistics from source materials such as production and sales records, quality-control and test records, survey sheets, personnel records, timesheets, and questionnaires. Statistical clerks collect and verify the accuracy of the information. They identify trends and tendencies in the data compiled and compare them with earlier reports and past trends, to assist in the analysis of data and preparation of projections. Statistical clerks may compile charts and graphs for use by actuaries.

Entry Requirements
Most employers prefer to hire STATISTICAL CLERKS with a high school diploma. Statistical clerks receive their training on the job. No special licensing or certification is required for statistical clerks.
