LOGISTICS MANAGERS handle all the details of a project. They are responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources. They coordinate a sequence of resources to carry out a project. They determine the sequence in which a project will use a particular resource, and then arrange to send the resources so that they will arrive when needed. They also plan, direct, or coordinate transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with governmental policies and regulations. They may also plan the storage of goods and materials.

Entry Requirements

Employers prefer to hire LOGISTICS MANAGERS who have at least a bachelor's degree in logistics, business or public administration, statistics, or operations research. Coursework in transportation management will be helpful.
