What Is a Profile for Success?

A Profile for Success is a range of ACT Composite scores that is typical of persons in college who are successful in their major (GPA of B or higher).

For example, successful college students majoring in education have a typical Composite score range of 21–25 in high school, so the Profile for Success is 21–25.

If you are thinking about majoring in education in college and have a Composite score of 18, you fall below the Profile for Success for education. This score would not be typical of successful students majoring in education.

There is a Profile for Success for each Career Area. As you review them, keep in mind that some successful students score outside of Profile for Success score ranges.
