In this program, you will learn how to select, sell, and service agricultural and agribusiness technical equipment and facilities, including computers, specialized software, power units, machinery, and utilities. You will have instruction in agricultural power machinery and equipment operation and technology; planning, resources, and mechanical issues related to the construction of agricultural facilities; erosion control; irrigation and water conservation, and agricultural data processing systems. Many graduates of this program become farmers.
Degrees
- A career program prepares individuals for agricultural diesel mechanic jobs, or specializing in the repair of large farm machinery and equipment.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree may lead to jobs designing and building specific types of farm products, such as machinery or buildings, or using the latest computerized farming machinery.
