In this program, you will learn how to use natural and financial resources, facilities, and labor to produce animal and plant products from farming, ranching, and agribusiness enterprises. You will study the selection, breeding, marketing, and care of livestock and small farm animals or fish and marine plants. You will study the operation of companies which produce and distribute grain, fruit, and vegetables. You will study basic science courses. You will use computer applications to learn data management related to agricultural production.
Degrees
- A certificate program prepares individuals to plan for and keep track of farm livestock and crop production, and to manage the economic and natural resources needed to keep a farm running successfully
- An associate or bachelor's degree prepares individuals for jobs involving the use of modern technology to plan how to breed livestock and manage the marketing of products, including animal, vegetable, and marine.
