In this program, you will learn various beauty and grooming services. These services include barber and hairstylist, where you learn to cut and care for hair; cosmetologist, where you learn to care for hair, complexions, and sell hair care products and cosmetics; nail technician/manicurist, where you learn to prepare and shape finger and toenails; electrolysis technician, where you learn to operate hair removal equipment; massage, where you learn about systematic manipulation of the body for therapeutic or relaxation purposes; and make-up artist, where you learn how to apply make-up and care for skin.
Degrees
- A certificate program is sufficient for most occupations in the cosmetology and personal services field.
