PRODUCT DEMONSTRATORS create public interest in buying products such as clothing, cosmetics, food items, and housewares. The information they provide helps consumers make educated choices among the wide variety of products and services available. Product demonstrators show or demonstrate how these products and services work and answer customer questions. Product demonstrators tell potential customers all the good things about the products and give reasons why people should buy them.

Entry Requirements
Most employers prefer to hire PRODUCT DEMONSTRATORS who have at least a high school diploma. To show certain products, some demonstrators need special talents, such as creative cooking or other skills. They usually receive their training on the job. Training is generally short-term, lasting a period of days or weeks, and is product oriented. Experience with the products or familiarity with similar products may be required for demonstration of complex products, such as computers. Foreign language skills may be helpful. Product demonstrators need no license or certificate.
