Entry Requirements

There are no specific educational requirements for a SUPERMARKET MANAGER. Most managers have worked in food retailing for several years before being promoted to a manager's position. However, more and more managers have a college degree, and most of those have an associate or bachelor's degree in liberal arts, social science, business, food marketing, or management. Regardless of education received, business courses including accounting, administration, marketing, management, and sales, as well as courses in psychology, human resource management, sociology, and communication will be helpful.
