ORDER FILLERS fill customers' mail, telephone, or Internet orders in accordance with specifications on sales slips or order forms. They compute the prices of the items and mark the forms. Order fillers read the orders to get the catalog numbers, size, color, and number of items requested. They get the items from bins or shelves. Order fillers make out order receipts, and keep records of outgoing orders. Order fillers put the items on a conveyor leading to a wrapping area. They are also responsible for requesting additional materials, supplies, and equipment.

Entry Requirements
Employers prefer to hire ORDER FILLERS who are high school graduates. Order fillers learn their skills on the job from more experienced workers. They need no license or certificate.
