In this program, you will focus on the theory and practice of gathering, processing, and delivering news, and learn how to be a professional print journalist, news editor, or news manager. You may also focus on the use of still and motion photography in photojournalism. You will study news writing and editing, reporting, photojournalism, layout and graphic design, equipment operation and techniques, journalism law and policy, research methods, journalism history and criticism, and professional standards and ethics.
Degrees
- A certificate or an associate degree will qualify for support jobs in journalism writing or editing, or related jobs.
