In this program, you will learn how to use basic engineering principles and technical skills to assist engineers in the design and development phases of a wide variety of projects involving mechanical systems. This program includes instruction in principles of mechanics, applications to specific engineering systems, design testing procedures, prototype and operational testing and inspection procedures, manufacturing system-testing procedures, test equipment operation and maintenance, and report preparation.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate degree is sufficient for entry-level jobs such as a mechanical engineering technician or automotive engineering technician, and may work in industry, business, and government in all phases of design, manufacturing, and sales.
