Drafting/CAD Technology, General
PrintTopics of Study
In this program, you will learn to apply technical skills to design and create working drawings and computer simulations for a variety of applications. You will use Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD), and civil and electrical drafting. This program includes instruction in design, specification interpretation, drafting calculations, material estimation, and appropriate computer applications. You may also learn engineering graphics and design, computer-aided drafting (CAD), civil engineering principles, and geological and seismographic mapping.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate degree program teaches drafting in general and others teach drafting in a specific area, such as computer-aided, architectural, electrical, or mechanical.
- A bachelor's degree will provide the opportunity for technician positions in avionics, robotics, architectural, and civil engineering fields.
