Topics of Study

In this program, you will learn to apply technical skills to develop working drawings and electronic simulations in support of mechanical and industrial engineers. This program includes instruction in manufacturing materials and processes, mechanical drafting, electrode-mechanical drafting, basic metallurgy, geometric dimensioning, blueprint reading and technical communication.

Degrees

• Certificate or associate degree programs teach drafting in general and others teach drafting in a specific area, such as computer-aided, architectural, electrical, or mechanical.
• A bachelor's degree may lead to technical positions in avionics, robotics, architectural, and civil engineering fields.
