In this program, you will prepare for work in the ministerial field. You will study beliefs and doctrines of a certain religious faith. You will understand its practices, rituals, and relationship to secular society by learning about its church history and works of literature. You will learn to appreciate the differences between various religious faiths through study of different sects and religions, their history, traditions, and doctrines. These experiences may prepare you to do research, educate, and write within the perspective of that religion.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate's degree may qualify to teach in church-related programs.
- A bachelor's and graduate degrees are required to find work as clergy, writers, philosophers, and professors.
