COMPUTER SECURITY ANALYSTS design and update computer security systems. They build firewalls to hide confidential information. They keep track of harmful viruses and test security systems to make sure they are working properly. They plan steps they will be taken if there is an emergency.

Entry Requirements

Most employers prefer to hire COMPUTER SECURITY ANALYSTS with a bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems. Others may require only a computer-related associate's degree. Relevant computer experience may substitute for formal education.
