In this program, you will study webpage design, focusing on digital and multimedia products. You will learn to apply HTML, XML, Javascript, graphics applications, and other authoring tools to the design, editing, and publishing of documents, images, graphics, sound, and multimedia products on the World Wide Web. You will be instructed in Internet theory, web page standards and policies, elements of web page design, user interfaces, vector tools, special effects, search engines, navigation, morphing, and e-commerce tools, along with new web technologies.
Degrees
- A certificate or an associate degree from a career-technical school or two-year college prepares you to work as a basic graphics artist.
- A bachelor's degree prepares you to work as a computer programmer, graphics artist, multi-media artist, or animator.
- A graduate degree will provide specialized knowledge or training in specific areas, and is usually required to teach in this field.
