In this program, you will learn how to conserve and manage wilderness areas and the flora and fauna therein, and how to manage wildlife reservations and zoological facilities for recreational, commercial, and ecological purposes. You will study wildlife biology, environmental science, natural resources management and policy, and outdoor recreation and parks management. You will also learn about the design and operation of natural and artificial wildlife habitats, applicable laws and regulations, and related administrative and communications skills.
Degrees
- An associate or bachelor's degree may lead to positions in wildlife management, biology or zoology, or work as a park ranger, environmentalist, or ecologist.
- A graduate degree qualifies for research, work in private consulting firms, management positions in industry or federal agencies, or work in higher education.
