In this program, you will learn how to plan, design, equip, and furnish residential and commercial interior spaces. You will study computer applications used in drafting and graphics design; interior lighting, acoustics, color coordination, and systems integration. You will also learn about furniture and furnishings, textiles and their finishing, the history of interior design and period styles, basic structural design, building codes and inspection regulations, and how all of these things apply to office, hotel, factory, restaurant and housing design.
