PrintWork Tasks
INTERIOR DESIGNERS plan the space and furnish the interiors of offices, hotels, hospitals, stores, restaurants, and other places. They talk to clients to determine their taste, needs, and budget. They then develop designs and prepare drawings and specifications for interior construction, furnishings, lighting, and finishes. They coordinate colors and select furniture, floor and wall coverings, and window treatments. They also design lighting, crown molding, built-in bookshelves, or cabinets. They present final design to client for approval. After client accepts design, designers put together furnishings and contract and supervise the services of craft workers.
