In this program, you will learn to administer prescribed courses of radiation treatment, manage patients undergoing radiation therapy, and maintain pertinent records. You will study applied anatomy and physiology, oncologic pathology, radiation biology, radiation oncology procedures and techniques, radiation dosimetry, and tumor localization. You will also learn about treatment planning, patient communication and management, data collection, and applicable standards and regulations.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate degree program qualifies for work in entry-level positions within the medical radiologic health field.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in one of the radiologic technologies is desirable for supervisory, administrative, or teaching positions.
