In this program, you will learn how, supervised by physicians, to develop respiratory care plans, administer respiratory care procedures, supervise personnel and equipment operation, maintain records, and consult with health care team members. You will study basic biomedical sciences, anatomy, physiology, and respiratory system pathology, clinical medicine, and therapeutic procedures. You will learn about data collection and record-keeping, patient communication, equipment operation and maintenance, and personnel supervision.
Degrees
- A certificate or associate degree program qualifies you to work in entry-level positions within the respiratory therapy health field.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in one of the radiologic technologies is desirable for supervisory, administrative, or teaching positions.
