In this program, you will focus on the history, society, politics, culture, and economics of one or more of the peoples of what is historically known as Europe. This includes Austria, the Balkans, the Baltic States, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, and related borderlands and island groups, as well as Scandinavia, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
Degrees
- A bachelor's degree is often required to enter occupations related to these majors, such as archaeologist, anthropologist, sociologist, journalist, diplomat, lobbyist, consultant, translator, foreign exchange trader, or foreign service officer.
- A graduate degree is usually required for advancement into administrative positions in business or in the field of higher education.
