In this program, you will learn how to design and develop the processes and products which are used in building systems and energy management, and focuses on the building industry. You will gain experience with architectural design; electrical, illumination, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems; and solar and other forms of energy important to the construction industry. You will also study architectural history, appreciation, and design; structural analysis and design; and building construction practices and materials.
Degrees
- A bachelor's degree is sufficient for some entry-level engineering jobs.
- An advanced degree may qualify to teach in higher education or work as consultants or as administrative managers in large corporations, or jobs such as architect, civil engineer, construction manager, electrical engineer, graphic designer, and interior designer.
